SUMMARY:Introduction to Rifle
DESCRIPTION:Interested in learning how to shoot a rifle (specifically AR (ArmaLite Rifle)-15’s)? \nIntroduction to Rifle is a basic course designed for people with little or no firearms experience. This course will provide a safe and enjoyable first exposure to long guns (rifles) and shooting. \nThis class is divided into two sessions. The classroom session\, lasting 60 to 75 minutes\, allows students to learn the fundamentals of rifle shooting including safety\, basic functions\, loading and unloading\, mounting\, stance\, sight picture\, and trigger control. During the live-fire session\, students will have the opportunity to handle\, load\, and fire one of our training AR-15s chambered in .22 caliber and will fire up to 50 rounds of ammunition in order to build skill and competence. The course concludes with a wrap-up session in the classroom to review lessons learned and answer any questions that students may have. \nThe class is offered one or two times a month and is the recommended first step before taking out Basic Defensive Rifle class. Additionally\, there is a Women-Only-Taught-by-a-Female-Instructor version of this class offered every few months. Please refer to our online training calendar for scheduling.
