DESCRIPTION:Tactical Handgun 4\n\nTactical Handgun IV is the fourth in a series of four Tactical Handgun classes that address the essential skills required to use a handgun as an effective self-defense tool. Basic marksmanship ability and an understanding of the rule of law governing the use of force in self-defense are certainly a necessary part of this skill set. But for those seeking serious competence\, a much broader set of abilities is required. Each of the four Tactical Handgun classes builds on the skills and techniques taught and practiced in the preceding classes. \nTactical Handgun IV\, though an extension of Tactical Handgun I\, II\, and III is different\, in that it has been designed to be to taken multiple times. Though the course of fire in Tactical Handgun I\, II\, and III is the same each time the class is taken\, Tactical Handgun IV is designed to integrate various skills in challenging drills that will differ each time the class is taken. \nThe class will consist of about 15-30 minutes of classroom time and 3.5 hours of live-fire range time \nThe class requires 150-400 rounds of ammunition depending on the drills and skills focused on. \nCourse Goal \nTo continue the structured development of the fundamental skills required to comfortably and effectively carry and use a handgun for personal defense\, building on the techniques and exercises previously practiced in Tactical Handgun I\, II\, and III in order to develop and refine those skills and add additional skills to the student’s defensive ability. \nLessons \n\nContinued development of presentation skills\nAdvanced Defensive Fire\nIntegrative skills (combining multiple elements)\n\nPrerequisites: Students taking Tactical Handgun IV should have completed Indy Arms Tactical Handgun III. Individuals taking this class should have the personal handgun that they intend to use/carry for personal defense\, along with a suitable concealment holster or carry purse with a dedicated department for firearms carry.
