This 4 hour class is a great introduction to utilizing a partner in self defense situations either in or out of the home.  Partners may be work related, part of a security team, couples, friends, or relatives.  This class covers the issues of communicating and working towards common goals (in contrast to working counter) in a high stress self-defense encounter.  Whether you and your most likely partner both conceal carry or only one of you do, this class is for you.  Understanding the challenges of working and communicating in a high stress environment is the first big step in doing so.  Through creating personal self-defense plans together, partners are more likely to be ready to help each other and not hinder.

A combination of lecture and pair discussion will help each pair create simple but effective plans.  These plans will then be tested in non-live-fire practice utilizing both the Indy Arms Fireamrs Simulator and state-of-the-art Simunition training guns (non-lethal) on the range.

The class will consist of about 2 hours of classroom time and partner discussion, 1 hour of partner Simulations using laser training guns and 1 hours of partner training on the range with Simunition (non-lethal) training guns.

Course Goal: To provide information and initiate discussions regarding the use of force in self defense in situations involving a social or work partner.  Students should start to develop skills for successfully defending themselves with a partner in or out of the home.

Prerequisites: Students taking this class should have an understanding of simple marksmanship, and the basic operation of their handgun.

Course Completion: Students will receive an Indy Arms Company certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.
